This came from commuting through a few subway stations each day that had windows.

The windows were always gridded, and I was really intrigued by the effect.

Since then I’ve been known to get very excited about gridded windows in any context.

    Very cool. Why aren’t there more? I’ve been fascinated by how “stuff” looks through windows for a long time myself… I thought I was the only one! Something about how a transparent barrier makes the “stuff” on the other side that much more compelling and mysterious…
